Highlights are ideal for adding lightness, softness and definition without losing a natural feel. Your appointment starts with a consultation to agree the level of brightness, warmth or coolness, and how noticeable you want the result to be. We work with your hair’s condition and existing colour, then refine the tone for a clean, even finish. Most clients return every 8 to 12 weeks for a refresh depending on the contrast placement and how softly the highlights have grown out.
Do you use a toner after highlights?
Yes. A toner is used to perfect the tone of your highlights whether you prefer cool creamy or golden shades and to enhance shine and condition.
What is the difference between highlights and balayage?
Highlights are placed using foils for lift from root to tip while balayage is a freehand technique for softer more natural lightening through the lengths.
Do I need a patch test before having highlights?
Yes. A patch test is required at least 48 hours before your colour appointment to ensure you have no sensitivity to our La Biosthetique products.
